Twitter - The Ultimate Coffee Break
Whether you chose to network in person or online, Twitter is a great tool for keeping in touch. When I changed my business, people were continually asking what I was doing now. That's when I discovered how useful Twitter is to stay connected to your network.

Never before has it been any easier to keep a steady stream of information flowing to your audience. It provides an opportunity to check in, keep up to date information and send tiny pulses of information in bite size pieces to anyone that wants to follow you.
This micro blogging community has exploded through the recent months and is attracting lots of people to it's web of networkers. Even the celebrities in Hollywood have found this a great way to stay in touch with their fans. Our president, even used it's technology to gain popularity to win the election.
Although I've only been tweeting since January of 2009, I have found it to be an incredible platform for meeting new people and expanding my own network. The simplicity of giving only 140 characters at a time makes it very easy to do. However, I will caution you that it can become addictive!
I decided to hop on Twitter only a few times a day and usually it's just before I start work and during one of my coffee breaks. I realized that if I were at a company and needed to do my job that the only time I'd have available would be during a break. Even though I'm the owner of my company, I still need to focus on work and network when it makes sense for my schedule.
Picture it as your virtual break room and you are just catching up with people while taking your break. Especially if you are an entrepreneur and time is money, you sometimes forget to take a break. Why not spend it wisely on Twitter?
