Tracy Needham launched her business in 2003 after more than a decade in marketing communications-the majority of which was spent in the financial services industry. Her last job in the corporate world was creating and managing the competitive affairs function at a mutual fund

Compelling Communications, LLC, provides copywriting and marketing strategies to solopreneurs and small businesses.

Tracy is an award-winning writer whose first published article was originally written as a graduate school assignment. Entitled “From Graduation to a Job on Capitol Hill,” it was published by Cosmopolitan magazine in 1995. Tracy is also a Contributing Editor at Interest.com and is co-author of the anthology Conscious Entrepreneurs, which will be published in Spring 2008.

She received an M.S. in Public Relations from Boston University College of Communication in 2003 and a B.A. in International Relations from the College of William & Mary in Virginia in 1991. And she has been listed in both Who's Who in American Women and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders.

At the end of 2006, Tracy relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina, with her two All-American dogs to escape the Northern Virginia traffic and be closer to family.
