Networking With Notes And Cards
After you meet someone at a networking event, it's always a nice touch to send a quick note in the mail to follow up with them. When you take the time to write a handwritten note, you'll leave a subtle impression in their mind that you really care about them.

I would suggest you reference something special that you remember about them to let them know how important they are. It will show them respect and confirm that you were listening to them.
Here are a few other ideas:
· Include your business card so they can easily contact you (ONLY ONE)
· Tell them you will look for people that need their service and will send them referrals
· Always sign it with your first AND last name until you know them well enough to be on a first name basis
· Send a greeting card to someone you have been wanting to meet and invite them to attend a networking meeting with you
· Include a newspaper or magazine clipping with something that relates to their business or personal interests
· Always reference when and where you met to refresh their memory
· Introduce them to someone you know that could collaborate with them
· Make them feel important and special, because they are
· Send a quick tip or resource to add value to their business or personal life
· If they buy something from you, make sure to send a quick "Thank You for Your Business" to them
· Include inspirational quotes and poems
When you keep in touch with a note or card, you'll strengthen the relationships you have been creating while you've been networking. I would recommend sending at least 4-6 cards every year to continue to build on the connection.
