Fourth, each member of the organization - no matter what position they occupy - must not only possess or be working on having the required skills to do today’s work, but must also have the talent, ability and commitment to acquire the knowledge that will shape their future and the future success of the organization.
Fifth, each individual, to the extent possible, should be working in the right role or position, so he or she can make the best use of their talents, thereby unleashing individual potential toward having the greatest impact on the organization and the customer.
Sixth, the organization must do all of the above in an open and honest atmosphere, realizing that acquiring, sharing and deploying knowledge is vital to both personal and organizational success.
Because knowledge has become the single most important factor of production within our 21st century environment, unleashing the power of intellectual assets of the organization - the people - has become the single most important task of leadership. Enhancing, capitalizing, and leveraging the knowledge and the innate talent of all stakeholders is basic to the fundamental vitality and growth of the organization.
People (good people) are drawn to organizations in which they are challenged to develop new skills, encouraged to increase their knowledge, and experience the satisfaction of having the opportunity to use the full power of their competencies. A coaching and transformational leadership style provides a great approach to unleashing the knowledge and individual potential of the organizational team.
The learning power of the organization will determine the earning power of the organization.
