How To Have Networking Charisma
Why is it so important to be charismatic while networking you ask? First, you need to clearly understand what it means to have charisma.
By: Darlene Willman
Wikipedia defines the word charisma (Greek "kharisma," meaning "gift," "of/from/favored by God/the divine") refers to a trait found in persons with a facile personality, characterized by personal charm and magnetism (attractiveness), along with innate and powerfully sophisticated abilities of interpersonal communication and persuasion. One who is charismatic is said to be capable of using their personal being, rather than just speech or logic alone, to interface with other human beings in a personal and direct manner, and effectively communicate an argument or concept to them.
When you have these qualities, you will automatically draw people to you like a magnet, they just love being around you because of the way you make them feel.
I have a friend that exudes charm and is incredibly successful. It's not that he's a flirt but he always has something nice to say to everyone he meets. No matter who they are, he's cheerful and always optimistic. He leaves you feeling inspired and energized to go out and accomplish your vision of success.
People really enjoy being around other charismatic individuals because they have an ability to put you at ease and make you feel good about yourself. Once you develop a charismatic personality, you have the ability to influence many people.
Those that are full of charm and grace will automatically capture the hearts of people they come in contact with. It can be hard to resist someone that has this innate personality trait.
