When he got frustrated and didn't think he'd ever succeed, he quit. Then sold his property to someone who immediately moved the mining equipment only 3 feet away and found a gold mine!
The point of the story is to never give up and to stay persistent in your adventure to succeed. Never look at how little progress you've made but focus completely on the end result. See yourself as a winner and you'll become a winner.
Too many people give up whenever they feel distress or turmoil. Sometimes they quit because others tell them they can't do it. They allow others to take away their dream by speaking negatively to them.
Just because someone else can't do it, doesn't mean you can't! Don't evaluate other people and what they can do, because they aren't you. Only you can have the perseverance to succeed.
You have to want success more than anything else in your life and find the drive to stay motivated to achieve your dreams.
No matter how many people before you have failed, keep your eyes on the prize!
Even when you face adversity, never quit. Find the strength within you to push through any barrier and blow right through whatever is holding you back.
Only you have the power to proceed and move forward, no one else. It's your choice. Never give up, stay focused on what you want and go get it!
