Are You Making It Easy To Do Business With You Or Harder?
Establishing and maintaining your business relies on constant communication to and from your customers or prospects. If you're not getting inquiries or return calls, maybe it's hard for people to find your contact info.

For example, I've received voicemail messages saying, "it's me, give me a call" without leaving a phone number and assuming I would recognize their voice. Make it a habit of leaving your name AND phone number in the beginning of your voicemail message AND at the end.
As for email, you should always include an email signature that has your phone number, website address and any other important information about your company. Many times it would be easier and sometimes faster for me to just pick up the phone and call someone than to take time writing a reply to an email. The same applies to your website and business cards.
Here are the minimal basics you should include in all your marketing material and contact info:
· Your full name
· Your company
· Your physical mailing address (again, don't hide from the public)
· Your email address (this might be the preferred method of contact)
· Your website address (never leave this out)
· Your phone number
On a side note, if you send someone a card or letter in the mail, make sure to include your first AND last name until you have an established relationship. I've received some cards in the mail that were signed by "Karen" with no return address or business card and I know over 30 Karens!
Whatever reason you have as to why you should leave certain things off or missing, I can assure you that you could be leaving business on the table. People have different methods of connecting; some prefer email, some prefer phone, some may even want to text your cell phone!
If you don't want to get phone calls, I would advise you to get a voicemail box to receive incoming requests for information. If you have a home address and don't want unexpected visitors stopping by, invest in a post office box. Both of these are very affordable and are necessary in creating strong business connections.
You can also start asking people when you network, "What's YOUR preferred style of communication?" With today's advanced technology, you may find more communication methods than I discussed in this article!
